About the role:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for warehousing and inventory management. The role will assist to control inventory levels, minimise costs, manage current and future stock requirements, maintain required service levels for internal and external customers and enhance inventory management within the JCDecaux ANZ supply chain.
The role is primarily based at the Port Melbourne VIC warehouse, directly reporting to the Procurement & Projects Director ANZ. The role is part of a national team responsible for inventory management within the JCDecaux ANZ supply chain and will ensure that depots are clean, tidy and well maintained, inventory is clearly labelled and logically stored and that the stock control system is maintained to ensure minimal variance between the electronic system and physical warehouse.
A Day in the life:
- Health and Safety: Maintenance of the warehouse area and machinery through regular inspection, documented audits, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with legislation and provision of a safe working area for employees
- Stakeholder management: Liaise with Operational Managers regularly regarding requisitions, ordering and resources for asset repair. Liaise regularly with regional warehouse supervisors.
- Health and Safety: Maintenance of the warehouse area and machinery through regular inspection, documented audits, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with legislation and provision of a safe working area for employees
- Inventory management: Maintain physical systems, labelling, shelving, and areas to allow for accurate stock takes
- Systems management: Maintain inventory management system with prompt data entry for all stock movements and regular periodic stock takes to ensure accuracy of physical and digital records
About you:
- Cert IV equivalency or higher, Warehousing Operations
- Interest in procurement activities would be highly regarded
- C class driving license
- Forklift license
- Physically fit
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and not afraid of using mobile devices)
- Experience working within a team environment
- An ability to work well and enjoy working in a changing operations arena.
