THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, the role of WHSEQ Advisor is responsible for delivering JCDecaux’s commitments to its people, contractors and clients.

Fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation through delivery of field and office-based education and leadership programs, it will see you working with Senior Contractor Management teams, assisting in delivering WHSEQ assurance activities focusing on both field and office-based stakeholders.  Subject Matter Expertise will be offered in the areas of risk management, workplace inspection and audit, incident investigation and corrective action management, and the delivery of various WHSEQ consultation activities. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and delivery of the Integrated Management System (IMS) as it relates to contractors and employees of JCDecaux AU
  • Conduct field-based assurance exercises such as workplace inspections and behavioural interventions
  • Support the delivery of WHSEQ activities such as risk management processes, incident investigation & corrective action close out.
  • Participate in the development & delivery of educational packages in both office and field-based settings.
  • Assist in delivery of objectives and targets to ensure successful reaccreditation across all applicable ISO and AS/NZS standards.
  • Assist Operational Managers in Worker’s Compensation initial claim management and provide ongoing support to Return to Work Coordinators
  • Support the wider WHSEQ team in the management of Worker’s Compensation claims

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

You’ll be someone who has a genuine passion for safety and has prior experience within a similar role, Additionally;

  • Qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline OR
  • Qualifications in Allied Health with occupational experience in WHS
  • Qualifications in Workplace Training, Internal or External Audit (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability:
    • Working in the field to identify risk management solutions
    • Delivery of risk assessments
    • Incident investigation
    • Development and Delivery of Training and education
  • High standard of oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritise and work self sufficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

 

From 4 April 2022, JCDecaux requires employees in Australia to be “up to date” with their vaccinations against Covid-19 to ensure we meet our obligations under occupational health and safety legislation with regard to the safety and wellbeing of our people. Being “up-to-date” generally means you have had a third vaccination dose not later than 6 months from completing your first two doses.
