THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will see you leading a team of designers, ensuring the creative output aligns with the sales and marketing strategy, as well as the wider business expectations. Ensuring all design deliverables deliver meaningful engagement to our clients, and brand standards are maintained to the highest quality.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Drive forward thinking and creative problem solving. Create direction for outputs that are best in market, on brand, meets business objectives and delivers business value.
  • Ideation and creative brainstorms, delivering memorable high-standard creative/design solutions.
  • Putting together creative concepts and presenting them to stakeholders.
  • Art directing and leading team members in successful concept execution.
  • Lead, guide, mentor and develop Design team members to drive productivity and design innovation and encourage proactivity and self-motivation.
  • Workflow management and volume control - receive and process project briefs and requests, manage schedules, assign tasks and track progress.
  • Support with design work as required including but not limited to campaign mock requests, photography retouching, artwork resizing/production, presentation design, video editing.
  • Ensure all work is in line with JCDecaux Australia and New Zealand’s visual identity, communication is clear and thorough, and all work is completed with high attention to detail.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

You’ll have demonstrated experience leading creative teams ideally within a media agency/ owner or B2B marketing function and have strong knowledge of the design and production process. As well as:

                                                                                                           

  • Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or similar tertiary qualification
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Creative role
  • Experience designing across a range of different mediums
  • A curiosity for new ideas and ways of doing things
  • Advance understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, CMS, MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
  • Take initiative, be organised and manage short- and long-term projects effectively
  • Advertising and marketing knowledge desirable
