THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Operations Administration Manager, your role will be responsible for reporting and data analysis relating to field and technical operations, and management of electrical connections and data associated with our asset portfolio,

High analytical skills and attention to detail are a prerequisite of this position due to the large amount of data that is pulled via various applications and tools utilised by the Operations team. 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand how applications are applied & utilised to the business
  • Analyse data from the various applications
  • Create dashboards to demonstrate key departmental KPIs / exceptions
  • Prepare, submit, and fulfil new connection and abolishment applications with electricity suppliers & distributors, track progress and provide weekly updates to key stakeholders
  • Ensure that relevant database systems and data are effectively maintained
  • Analyse productivity reports for all Operations areas and provide dashboards to easily interpret exceptions
  • Work with Health, Safety and Sustainability to ensure accurate reporting on electricity consumption, proportion of Renewable Energy in product mix and other key metrics as required
  • Update the company accounting system by entering purchase orders and/or job costing for an array of operational tasks
  • Run reports and analyse the data from the accounting system to ensure costs are kept to a minimum
  • Ensure that any assets that have been removed are disconnected from power thus removed from the billing process

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

You’ll have prior experience as a Data Analyst, Operations Analyst, or be a strong administrator who possess advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to create dashboards, analyse data and create reports. As well as:

 

  • Strong data visualization capabilities with reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Relevant educational background
  • Proficiency with SQL, MS Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A strong curiosity to learn and apply data techniques and tools
