THE OPPORTUNITY

Manage & Support the Digital Print Department to achieve Productivity, Quality Control, Efficiencies and Workplace Safety. To maintain Colour Management, Work Flows, Maintenance, Data Sheets and communication between Print Production Manager and Dayshift Supervisor for advising Scheduling and Finishing Departments of any issues or changes to any procedures.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain work areas are a safe environment and tidy
  • Supply PPE ensuring zero harm to employees, safe workplace for employees, contractors, suppliers, visitors & public. Maintaining SDS’s.
  • Support WHS & environmental compliance & sustain- ability initiatives. HSE: Zero LTI’s, EPA breaches and be proactive in environmental awareness.
  • Responsibility of Systems in place for Digital Printers for output files to all print devices.
  • Latest Software for Imac’s and Digital Print Rips
  • Maintenance procedures in place to obtain maximum utilization.
  • Procedures in place for checking of Studio and Print files Quality and Colour Management.
  • Housekeeping for Caldera Spooler rips.
  • Adhoc Duties as required.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Essential

  • Digital Print & Software Products & Colour Management
  • Working in Digital Printing Trade for 4 years minimum.
  • Excellent Reporting & Analysis Skills
  • Excellent Communication
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong Work Ethics
  • Punctual
  • Driver’s Licence

Desirable

  • Trade Qualifications in Graphic Industry
  • Qualification in a relevant field e.g. Trade qualification in printing; Broad knowledge of printed substrates; Forklift License.
